As we have this journey with God, we are staying at Tosajoku’s dormitory. I was fortunate to spend 12-13 days/nights with Kira and Amanda. A lot of craziness went on. My explanation will not do justice.
One morning, I woke up and Amanda asked, “I heard Japanese Music and Kira agreed.” “I was like what music. Pondering over, if it was maybe her dream. We later found out it was game pegion (apple app). Now, whenever, I play game pegion with the sound on Amanda will always be, “see it’s that music.” That was just one treasure that we laughed at and hope to hold on, as we grow old. Another one would be how interesting it is when, Kira is trying to figure out what to text next, to the Kochi students. “Give me a topic....” “ ah my conversation ended already, another topic.” Then, there’s the recent nights. Nights of weirdness, questionable things and happiness. The nights were Kira’s everywhere. Does the most unquiet things ever. Putting omiyage into musubi containers. Procrastinating, her packing... Then, falling asleep later. Last night was differently one for the books. We were so distracted with whatever, just try to prolong packing. We did take multiple time laps, there were a lot of memories there. Just, trying to find somewhere to put it. As my suitcase was getting full; we didn’t know what to take out... Kira’s creativity decided to get a piece of rope. Tying it around the bag and weighing it with her travel scale. It was pretty innovative. Despite, all the fun we had, we worked really well together. Helping each other out. Telling each other to sleep, waking each other up and just having a good time laughing. It was so funny; I was feeling lazy, but, we had to do something. Kira and Amanda grabbed my phone and played here doggy with me. They also told each other, “K, if we go then she’ll follow.” In which I did. It was moments like these that demonstrated, how well we worked together. Within our dorm team, I really saw God shining and his blessings. Giving us multiple moments to hold. As Amanda mentioned,”I hope we don’t lose these memories.” Like I told Amanda, “I don’t think it would’ve been in God’s plan.” This is honestly just a glimpse, into our dorm team. There were many other times; with vending machine drinks, a messy room, spiders and so much more! I will always love my crazy, awesome girls!! - Kamm
